I think that this means when you’re touching the floor it is the safest place to be. Like if you’re in midair it it’s dangerous for example if you’re skydiving you could not be safe because you could die.so it is always safer to be in the ground than to be in the air do dangerous things because you never no what could happen.

I think that this means that do something that is right first because it is more important than doing something that is acceptable. Because if you do something that is right you can only do it once but if you do what is acceptable you can do it any other time. So it is more important to start off with what is important.
