How to take on college studying part 2
Choose where to study
Where you should study depends on two factors: the environment in which you are best able to concentrate and the type of work you are planning to do.
The best places to study have good light a comfortable temperature and enough desk space usually your dorm room, your apartment or the library.
For completing problems sets or brain storming possible test questions you may want to study with a group or at least in a setting where fellow students are viable for discussion. When you are reading book chapters or working on a research paper, you are probably better off in ales social environment.

Improve your study habits
Here are simple steps you can take to help you get a handle on studying:
Have a routine for where and when you study
Choose reasonable and specific goals that you can accomplish for each study session.
Do things that are harder or require more intense thought at your most productive time of the day
Take breaks if you need them so you don’t waste time looking at material but not absorbing it.
Get to know students whom you respect and can study with or contact to ask questions
Keep up with the workload and seek help when you need it

think of college as a full time job in which you spend 40 hours a week on a class labs study groups and doing homework.

being organized and using your time well are essential. learn more about time managment and use the guidelines below to develop your study skills.
 decide when to stud
work out about how many hours you need to study everyday. then make a schedule.
figure out what blocks of time you have available throughout  the day in the evenings and on the weekends.

consider what time of day you are most alert there are morning people and night owls and try to schedule your studying accordingly.

think about whether you do better studying for a few hours at a time or sitting down for marathon sessions.

7 habits of highly successful teens habit 6
Habit 6: synergize
Synergy is achieved when two or more people work together to create something better than either could alone. Through this habit teens learn it doesn’t have to be your way or my way rather a better way, a higher way. Synergy allows valuing differences and better appreciating others. Synergy is the reward, the delicious fruit you’ll taste as you get better at living the other habits, especially thinking win and seeking first to understand. Learning to synergize is like learning to form v formations with others instead of trying to fly through life solo, you will be am amazed at how much faster and farther you’ll go. Synergy doesn’t just happen. It’s a process. You have to get there. And the foundation of getting there is: learn to celebrate differences.
A good band is a great example of synergy. It’s not just the drums, or the guitar or the sax or the vocalist; its all of them together that make up sound each band member brings his or her strength to the table to create something better than each could alone. No instruments are more important than another just different.

3)why do people demonstrate unsportsmanlike conduct?
because they got angry that they didn't win or that the other team is all happy and they are all sad. they loose control so the team decides to take the anger on the other team.

''so often in our quest to be more popular and to be part of the in group we lose sight of thins that re far more important.

that we learn the wrong way and not the right way we are suppose to learn. we always have to learn the hard way so we need to start paying more attention to the important things in life instead of focusing on all the bad things.

7 habits of highly successful teens habit 5
5. Seek first to understand and then to be understood
Because most people don’t listen very well one of the great frustrations in life is that many don’t feel understood? This habit will ensure your teens learn the most important communication skill there is: active listening.
Why is this habit the key to communication? It’s because the deepest need of the human heart is to bender stood. Everyone wants to be respected and valued for who they are a unique one of a kind never to beckoned indivual. People won’t expose there soft middles unless they feel genuine love and understanding. Once they feel it however they will tell you more than you may want to hear. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
Listen with your eyes heart and ears.7 percent of communication is contained in the words we use. The rest comes from body language and how we say words or the tone or feeling reflected in our voice.
Most people are eager to talk and had rather talk than listen. We have one mouth and two cars. This means we should listen twice as much as we talk. We actually learn more while listening rather than we talk. Learn to listen and listen to learn.
Listen really listen for understanding. Seek first to understand than to be understood –listen.

7 habits of highly effective teens
4. Think win-win
Teens can learn to foster the belief that is possible to create an atmosphere of win-win in every relationship. This habit encourages the idea that in any given discussion or situation both parties can arrive at amorally beneficial solution. Your teen will learn to celebrate the accomplishments of others instead of being treated by them. Win win is a belief that everyone can win .it’s both nice and tough all at once. I won’t step on you but I won’t be your doormat either. You care about other people and you want them to succeed as well. Win is abundant. It is the belief that there’s plenty of success to go around. It’s not either you orme.its both of us. It’s not matter of who gets the biggest piece of the pie. There’s more than enough food for everyone. It’s an all you can eat buffet. Win always creates more .perhaps the most surprising benefit of thinking win is good feeling or it brings on. The true test or whether or not you artethingking win or one of the alternatives is how you feel. Win lose and lose win thinking will cloud your judgment and fill you with negative feelings win will fill your heart with happy and serene thoughts. It will give you confidence. Even fill you with light think win or no deal.

                               Being kind
kindness is the best thing someone can ever have in there lives. for example someone saw a wallet fall from a guy and she gave the wallet to her. so then she was kind to do it and didn't steal it. also when you see someone crying and then you help them. you were kind enough to help them. if you are kind enough to help them then you  will get the kindness back.  what ill do to be more kind is help around the house and do my best in school and talk to every person the right way and don't disrespect them at all.

''you cannot do wrong and feel right it is impossible''

this means that if you do something really bad and then you go on and live your life it is impossible to feel innocent when you did a big mistake. you cannot be happy and just move on you have to feel bad for what you did. for example if someone kills another person it is not possible for you to be happy and live your life your going to remember what you did and feel bad. you will be sad.

            Student success statement
‘’the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits are the key to all success bad habits are the unlocked door to failure. Thus the first law I will obey which precedeth all others is I will form good habits and become their slaves.’’

Reflection: this means that the people that are not successful don't have good habits they don't have manners they don't appreciate what they have and they take everything for granted.they will never go know where in there lives.  but the people who have succeeded in life have good manners and don't give up and respect people around them and they are not rude. they listen to people and they do what is right. and people who are not successful they ignore everyone around them.

Ex: a good example is when a person who does good in school and get good grades she will try her hardest and not give up.you could tell she would be successful. another example when someone does bad in school get fails in every class and not listen he/she will do bad in life because he doesn't care about his future.

7 habits of highly successful teens habit 2
Habit 2 begin with the end in mind
If teens aren't clear about where they want to end up in life, about their value goals and what they stand for they will wander, waste time, and be tossed to and fro by the opinions of others. Help your teen create s personal mission statement which will act as a road map and direct and guide his decisions making process.

‘’keep your eyes on the prize.’’ Determine your desired prize and don’t quit until you have realized the achievement of your prize. Then set another prize, another goal or desire that you would really like to achieve. Begin with the achievement of your prize in mind. Visualize and then realize. Start by having a target in mind: know where you are going.
One prize or goal you definitely need to establish for yourself is the prize of an honorable graduation from high school that you will receive your diploma honestly and with integrity that you earned it with perfect honest.
