many colleges now offer courses in which students study television programs, comic books, magazines, advertising and other aspects of popular culture. critics complain that school should not replace serious literature and history causes with such fluff. they claim that courses in popular culture present material that is trivial and inconsequential. but the study of popular culture can be just as important demanding and instructive the study of traditional subjects.
assignment:
can the study of popular culture be as valuable as the study of traditional literary and historical subjects?
yes because it could help the students in their social life and it would maybe make there life more easier. Also they need to know what was going on. And history was a important subject and it still is because in the past a lot of things happened. People need to know what was going on and why everything all started. In literature is also important to because it could help them in their writing when they read stories and when they read it helps them improve in their writing because they say that reading makes you smarter. so everything is important because it all helps you in your future.
